In a move towards expanding their range, these guys are introducing the 2nd & 3rd car in Q1 of 2018.  French automaker Renault just launched two models in one event. These two cars are literally cousins but with different levels of “Sauce”.

The Sandero Stepway is the crossover that bears the DNA of an SUV while the Logan is the saloon. Both are built in Romania, one of the 35 plants they own in the World.

This model looks both practical and adventurous with a redesigned frontend panel, more pronounced chrome grille and a new front and rear lighting signature, this vehicle is even more adventurous. Boot space is normally at 320L and 1200L with the back seats folded.

Renault Logan

Now in its 4th generation, the Logan has undergone a proper makeover in terms of design (both inside and out). The chassis in this model is the same one in the Duster and the Kangoo, Renault Kenya’s Brand Manager Mr. Jonathan Santos called it “Bulletproof”.

My highlight was the boot space of 530L and could fit 2 grown men comfortably.

Different Direction Same Enjoyment

Both cars have a 7” touchscreen with a satellite navigation system that recognizes our Kenyan roads. The characteristic ‘C’ shape is visible on both front and back lights. LED daytime running lights enhance the recognition of the cars. They come equipped with a 1600cc petrol engine and an automatic transmission (manual available upon request).

The new design is more modern and elegant. The radiator grill sits seamlessly alongside the new bumpers and fog light rims. The rear of the cars has also been given the same treatment.

Pricing inclusive of VAT and registration is at Kshs. 2.6M for the Logan and Kshs. 2.8M for the Sandero Stepway.

Review coming soon once I get my hands on a unit.
